We read every submitted tale within a week of receiving it. If your retelling of a myth or local legend is accepted, we'll let you know when it's scheduled, and most pieces appear on the site within about a month of acceptance.
There's no fee to submit your stories — sharing mythology and folklore should be open to everyone. If you'd like a deeper editorial review or priority placement for your legend, that's available as an optional extra at checkout.
We welcome myths, legends, and oral traditions from every corner of the world. Translation and review times vary depending on the language, and we ask contributors to credit the original storytellers or sources behind any folklore they share.
If a published story doesn't sit right with you, tell us within 30 days and we'll make it right — a correction, an added source note, or full removal, whichever fits. We just ask that any original material or artwork remain properly credited throughout.
If you spot a factual error, a broken reference, or a mislabeled ancient statue in one of our pieces, tell us right away and we'll fix it as quickly as we can.
